I visited fascinating Cinque Terre in the norstwest of Italy. Manarola is one the five villages there. For me the fascination of Cinque Terre comes from the cheerful and fragile looking architecture in combination with the roughness of the sea. The villages symbolise outposts of mankind that brave the wild.
