Ever since first photographing these ledges in 2010 I’ve been longing to return with some special conditions. Last week there seemed little chance of any light, the forecast was for rain, grey sky, and strong wind coming in off the sea. I went anyhow, and captured pictures while putting up with all of these conditions. After the second downpour I packed up my gear and decided to leave. Before I walked away I took one last look and was gobsmacked to see the sun appear out of nowhere. The evening was completely transformed in the space of a few minutes!
