This image was taken at what is typically the wrong time of day, mid afternoon under bright conditions with the sun high overhead. But even thought he light conditions are kind of harsh, this is the time of day, at this time of the year, where the snow in the mountain tops really light up. Earlier and later, many of the peaks get deep shadows hiding the brilliance of the snow. So, sometimes the wrong time of the day can be the right time for certain elements within a scene.
