Back to green images. Perhaps I should pick a different primary colour each week?

I found this big old gnarly maple not far from the Nitinat river on my way to Carmanah Provincial Park. This area has some wonderful photo potential but must admit that I had a difficult time finding compelling compositions. In the end I decided to go for a central placement of this tree in the hopes that the maple would speak for itself. The image itself I warmed up considerably and I tried to soften the white patches of sky with a bit of artistic license in PS.
