Satelight – Pacific Coast, Southern Oregon by DaveMorrow by DaveMorrow

From one of the best stretches of coastline on the Southern Oregon Coast. The half moon lights the entire coast, beaches and massive sea stacks.

We got really lucky in having some nice clouds and patches of stars prior to the whole thing clouding over.

Look closely at the bottom left of the photo and you’ll see the small stream that feeds into the Pacific Ocean. Just 30 feet behind me that stream drops off a waterfall right down onto the beach, behind that mossy forests, then highway 101, then logging, lots of logging, almost infinite. So much logging that only 2 small patches of old growth forests still exists on the entire Oregon Coast. The Rock Creek Wilderness and the Cummins Creek Wilderness.
