Curtain Call by Pcoskun by Pcoskun

Sticking around the desert for just about the last year has me thinking of some non desert landscapes. I figured it would be nice to break up the harshness of the desert with one of the many gems in the Pacific Northwest. This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, and I’ve posted a few images from here before. However, going through the folder allowed me to find this shot that included the sky above the falls. I had been so fixated on leaving the sky out of the images from here, but this shows the falls in all her glory. While they may not appear massive, it was giving a thunderous applause as it crashed onto the rocks. This wasn’t even at full flow when my friend Dustin and I visited. I can’t even imagine how crazy it would have been down below at full flow. One of the best parts of all was that we had this place almost completely to ourselves. It almost baffled me that such a beautiful waterfall that I found to be as beautiful as any I had seen all week was quite empty of people. It was definitely welcomed to have that kind of solitude here. I really wanted to put the emphasis on the water and mossy rocks, so I darkened this one up a bit. The more I look at it, the more I want to return and sit by the falls.
