Things aligned for this shot. The milky way and northern lights in the same shot. The aurora wasn’t predicted to be that strong, but I happened to check my phone and saw it was kp6. I did some timelapses close to my house for a while, and at about 1:30, the lights were still going strong, so I decided to drink some caffeine and head towards this spot. This old snow plow sits next to the side of the road on a curvy mountain road. By the time the milky way started coming up, the northern lights were starting to die down. Still, I’m really happy with how this turned out.

This is a 10 shot panorama on my a7s, with my 24mm Rokinon. My last 24mm Rokinon broke, and the replacement they sent me isn’t as good. May have to look for a new goto astrophotography lens (Sigma 20mm 1.4 art?)
