Goðafoss is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland. It is located in the Mývatn district of North-Central Iceland at the beginning (or end) of the Sprengisandur route that cuts through the country. The water of the river Skjalfandafljot falls over a width of 30 meters 12 meters, and Goðafoss divides it by rocks in a few pieces. A few kilometers upstream is the Aldeyjarfoss.
With a great idea of my friend we visited this waterfall in the evening. The road was closed down by Jeeps, but we were the last ones getting a glimp of the waterfall before the roads closed till the other day. Happily I got this shot before we moved to the next hotel!
For this shot we moved to the other side of the waterfall to get a greater angle. With the use of my LEE Little stopper i managed to smoothen out the water with a shutter speed of 15 second. Editing exclusively in Lightroom.
