A Moment of Zen by whuang by whuang

Having photographed Davenport Beach many times I always gravitated towards the rocky beach and focused on the sea stack. For once this spring I ventured up to the bluffs. There I was pleasantly surprised by the pristine and fresh blooming Erigeron, also known as the Seaside Daisy.

With fresh blooms, virtually no winds, and a high potential sunset looming I knew I had found my composition. The sunset ended up burning for well over half an hour and was one of the best in recent times. Slowly the flowers took on the glow of sunset having hints of colors ranging from its natural blue-grey to deeper pinks and purples.

It is days such as these that really make me love California.
