This is a re-edit of a shot from one of the best nights I’ve ever had up in the mountains. After being pounded by storms and witnessing an intense light show from above the Nub viewpoint we finally decided to pack it in and tromp down the trail in an I-want-my-bed fervor. But down below, as this scene started to unfold we couldn’t help but whip out our tripods again. Of the 3 days I spent in this park, Assiniboine peak came out of the clouds for a combined total of about 15 minutes. This was 5 of them.
