Jökulsárlón Veins, Iceland by PatrickMarsonOng by PatrickMarsonOng

I was fortunate to join in on a week long vacation in Iceland with Christian Lim Photography.
We took the usual self-drive route offered by iceland-photo-tours. The route begins from Reykjavik -> Grundarfjörður -> Vik -> Höfn -> Vik -> Reykjavik. Spent a couple of days on each of the iconic spots as we hunted for glorious light and auroras.

It was my 3rd time in Iceland. Had a pleasure of meeting a bunch of awesome photographers face to face whom I only knew on Facebook, well that proves that Iceland’s tourism increased exponentially over the year.

Luck combined with the eagerness to search for it, plays a major part of bringing out the uniqueness of an overly-photographed place. If not for the unending argument between me and my buddy, we wouldn’t have found this comp and just settled for the usual ice on the shore shot of glacier lagoon.

Iv’e been dreaming to capture cracks over Jökulsárlón. I can still vividly remember the smile on my face when I saw this on my cam’s LCD. LOL! So here’s to using the cracks to my advantage. Hope you like it guys!

Oh by the way, head on over to my FB’s Photography page for articles on How to capture “sun-stars” and “wave’s motion”.
