Factory Window by Pcoskun by Pcoskun

I am often seeking new and unique compositions on relatively popular locations, and I have a fascination with arches framing subjects. While wandering around the incredible landscapes surrounding factory butte, I came across this small arch, perhaps two feet wide and tall, with a perfect view of the butte itself. I had found this composition the evening before, and kept note of it’s location for sunrise. Luckily, the sunrise was quite nice allowing the butte to turn various shades of red before the sun finally made it’s way above the horizon. The small window was catching some of the warm glow and added a nice contrast to the butte in the distance. This was one of my most productive mornings photographing the southwest, and came away with a handful of images from just this location. Truly one of the gems of the great southwest!
