“The Lone Willow Tree” in Wanaka in rainy and stormy conditions. The waves were crashing at the lakeshore of Lake Wanaka, which meant that there was no way of getting in the water to photograph. Also, I wasn’t happy with a prior telephoto approach due to the wind, so I thought to work with the given circumstances and tried a wide-angle long exposure attempt in that windy and stormy weather, to see what I could get. I liked how the light gently touched the willow tree in the distance. The wide-angle perspective doesn’t make the tree prominent in my image, but I feel the landscape speaks for itself, the tree is not any less special, I just had to work with the conditions that nature gave me. A wonderful memory of my trip to New Zealand. http://ift.tt/1Lo9cIr
