I cannot remember how many times I visited this place near “kouklia” village hopping for a great , or at least a nice sky. Finally that evening the sky was what I hoped for and stayed like that for the rest of the evening till sunset. Since I know the area very well It was easy to find a location to put the tripod. I used TPE (the photographer’s ephimeris) to help me with the exact sun location and time of sunset at that day. A straightforward and easy capture , with light breeze and no water sprays. The color persisted for more that 20 minutes giving me the time to check histograms and re shoot a number of times. .. So much difference from shooting a sunrise 🙂 A single NEF file with nothing special in post process . Taken with the Nikon D800 and Nisi 10 stop filter plus Nisi 3 stop soft ND grad .
