An incredibly hard place to shoot because you’re very limited to where you can stand and not be blasted with spray!!
Well worth a visit if you get time and it’s only a short walk from the parking area 🙂
Just bring some waterproof clothing 🙂

I had heard ramblings the night before of the pilgrimage many trekkers make to these towers just to witness their spectacular transformation at sunrise. I was puzzled because the location wasn’t exactly an easy destination.
Being fortunate enough to see this location in the right conditions is an absolute rarity and, it seemed, were amongst the lucky few.
I’m not really sure if I have seen anything like this before. A sense of scale here is so quickly lost, the lake in front of me spans almost 1.5km to the base of these three unbelievably big towers and the valley around me is just immense.
Then it happened – the sun crept through the valley behind me and, as if scripted, these three towers transformed to a bright red whilst everything around them remained in shadow.
This was mind blowing!
