Del Norte, CA
Recently made a trip up to the redwoods in northern California with a few friends. Fog was hard to come by the first couple of days, but with a little searching at lower elevation we managed to track some down. The rhododendrons were a bit past prime, but there were still a few patches here and there. In this scene the bloom was a bit sparse so some PS fertilizer helped balance the scene a bit.

In the last 6 weeks we’ve been running tours and workshops from SW England, Northern Spain and finally SW China & Tibet. This shot is taken from a small monastery on the border between Yunnan & Tibet. Walking the quiet woodland trails at 13000 feet looking up at a glorious line of Eastern Himalayan peaks.

On this evening the sun was setting behind the ridge producing some glorious light glowing behind the peaks.
