The Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera. It is in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia. “The Five Lands” comprises five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Over the centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm is the lack of visible corporate development. Paths, trains and boats connect the villages, and cars cannot reach them from the outside. The Cinque Terre area is a very popular tourist destination.

Laguna de la Plaza, Parque Nacional Natural El Cocuy, Colombian Andes. 4300m (14 100 ft).

Part of a 4 day hike I did on a recent 4 month trip to South America. Interesting frailejon plants in foreground, which are only found in the paramo of the Northern Andes.

Lagoon Torre is magical. Although weather is changing here every minute, sometimes you can encounter stunning moments, when floating icebergs calving from the glacier, and breaking on the rough stony shore of lagoon in billions of diamonds. Each of them will reflect a sunset in thousands small shiny facets…

Dopo diverse ore trascorse sù al lago, avvolto dalla nebbia, decido di rinunciare alla cattura della via lattea e mi avvio verso casa.
Come per magia, durante la strada del ritorno, la nebbia inizia a dissolversi lasciando spazio ad un cielo sempre più stellato, continuo tuttavia il mio viaggio verso valle incontrando una lunga serie di tornanti, ne percorro però uno molto interessante ai miei occhi e decido di tornare indietro e di fermarmi proprio lì x fare qualche scatto di prova.
Parcheggio l’auto in un punto insolito ma sicuro, mi incammino con l’attrezzatura fra le mani salendo sulla collina posta al centro del tornate e, una volta posizionato il tutto, aspetto e spero che qualche vettura passi di lì per darmi l’opportunità di catturare le scie luminose da lei lasciate.
Dopo tanta attesa inutile penso bene di far da me!
Imposto il timer per la reflex e mi sincronizzo con esso, corro in macchina e con precisione percorro il tornante in entrambi i sensi di marcia!
Il risultato è che ho “disegnato” nella mia foto , con la mia auto, il che aggiunge ancor di più un tocco personale allo scatto.
Il tutto sotto un cielo , seppur nuvoloso, bello e stellato.
