5 Poor Hygiene Traits That May Negatively Affect Your Relationship

You agree with me when I say:

It’s hard to love someone who doesn’t love himself.

Without a checklist of personal hygiene habits, your couple isn’t going to feel safe with you. Even having an awesome personality, bad habits create boundaries in building relationships. But that’s not the purpose of a relationship.

Strong couples help each other build easier life’s.

If your partner doesn’t complain about your sanitary issues, it doesn’t mean they enjoy your self-disrespectful signs.

But talking about this is embarrassing.

remove_toxic_energyMany couples don’t speak about each other’s poor hygiene issues, to prevent hurting their delicate feelings.

In this article, I’ll show you a few ways how poor hygiene may negatively impact your life in a couple. I’ll also give you the solution how to fix that sanitary issue.

5 Poor hygiene issues that may affect building a relationship

Bad breath

Bad breath and relationships are like oil and water: they don’t mix.

A relationship is built on trust. You earn that trust when there is fresh breath while you kiss your girlfriend. It’s different when she feels the bad breath coming out of your mouth when you whisper tender words at her year.

It may turn her off. The result is less kisses and face to face conversations. The relationship is becoming colder.

The solution:

You can fix bad breath issue by having better oral hygiene.

If you notice bad breath coming out of your mouth you should see a dentist. Carries may cause unpleasant breath.

After the dentist treated your teeth make sure to prevent oral issues in future.

Dirty hands

Hands are the part of the body mostly exposed to many external factors. Thousands of germs and microorganisms land on them after touching dirty things. If microbes get inside your body it may cause health diseases.

It also may infect your couple mate.

Living together requires sharing many common things, which pass microbes to your partner.

The solution:

Soap is a revolutionary invention. It kills 83% of all microorganisms on your skin. It helps prevent a lot of sanitary diseases.
Wash your hands each time you use the bathroom, before and after meals or after touching dirty things.

Keep your hands clean to prevent affecting your partner’s safety.

Washing hands aren’t rocket science. You just need soap, water, and 2 minutes of your time.

Unpleasant body odors

This personal hygiene issue keeps your honey away from you. Not because she hates you, but because she can’t resist the fish smell your body releases.

This definitely turns her off.

Don’t make it hard for her to kiss, hug or be around you. This will extinguish the fire in your relationship.

The solution:

You need to understand that the skin on your body constantly produces sebum. If you don’t wash it off, it releases unpleasant smells.

The fix is very simple.

Take showers more often. Take one or two showers per day and this will keep your body fresh and clean. Your honey will enjoy the fresh smell of your body.

Poor condition of your body

The conventional wisdom says that loving someone means accepting his imperfections. Though I agree with this to some extent, I don’t think you should accept weak characters.

The body condition speaks a lot about your character. Gaining weight, losing skin glow or body odors are your weakness. This isn’t something your partner could be proud of.

If you accept the defeat without fighting, you aren’t a good life partner. Your couple mate can’t rely on you in challenging circumstances.

Here is the deal.

If you want to maintain the relationship earn the trust of your couple mate. Show your self-esteem and confidence. Begin with your body.

The solution:

Maintaining your body in good shape is a little more complex than the above hygiene habits. It requires exercising, proper dieting, and reducing eating portions. This lifestyle will improve the physical appearance of the body.

When you love how you feel in your own body you may proceed to the next secret tip. Groom your body and improve your dressing style. That’ll make you look attractive and confident as James Bond.

There are many ways to improve your physical appearance, but it’s best to start with your body.

Unkempt house

“When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.”

A relationship is like a flower. It blooms if it’s built in a clean and hygienic home. After all, it’s the place where your couple spends most of the time.

Few people know that viruses and bacteria can live for a long time on a variety of surfaces. A multitude of microorganisms is swarming on clothing, computer keyboard, in the pile of the carpet or couch, on the table, on the floor, on the walls, and in the air.

For a person with strong immunity, this isn’t dangerous, but if the natural defense weakens these microorganisms may cause health issues.

Living in a clean environment reduces many health risks, infections, and diseases.

The solution:

The best way to protect yourself and your couple mate is to live in a hygienic environment. Make your home a safe place from microbes, viruses and infections.

To maintain the sanitary condition of your home do the following:

  • Clean the dust in every single room of your home with a wet cloth.
  • Open the windows to ventilate your home.
  • Open the blinds to let the sunlight in.

A hygienic environment is the safest environment where a relationship can bloom and thrive.

Personal hygiene is the foundation of a healthy family

Hygiene isn’t only about your health. It is also about the health of family and friends.

Your poor hygiene may hurt your girlfriend’s well-being. This inevitably hurts your relationship as well.

A relationship is, first of all, a responsibility. It’s in your hands to build a healthy relationship. Make your friends and family feel comfortable in your company. Let them feel safe and protected with you.

Take care of your hygiene to maintain health, but most important do it for your family.

Make it easy for your girlfriend to love you.

6 Simple Tips For The Beginner Meditator

We are all beginners at everything, right? We have to train our minds to learn new things. Even simple little things. We have to teach ourselves how to do everything. Some things are super easy to learn, others not so much. Meditation seems to be one of those things that so many people struggle with. People ask me all the time about how to meditate and how to quiet your mind. I get asked so much, in fact, I thought it was time to write a short article about it with so me helpful tips for beginners.

In this busy and hectic world, where stress runs amuck, to be able to sit still for even 5 minutes, let alone 20 or 30, almost seems impossible. It’s not. With lots of practice and patience, and these simple tips I am about to share with you, you will be mastering the art of meditation in no time.

meditationUnless you have mastered at least one meditation session, you will not know what benefits you will reap. Everyone should be meditating. Really. Let’s dive into the simple tips for the beginners so you all can reap these benefits too.

1. Set a time.

This is important. Commit to doing it at least once a day and at least 3 times a week to start. Choose a time that you think will be best for you. It could be morning, early afternoon or just before bed. Whenever it is, mark it on the calendar, set your alarm, set a reminder on your cell phone. Whatever you have to do, commit. Making a commitment is the first and easiest step. You have to make it a priority. Don’t just think about doing it, tell yourself you are going to do. Make an appointment for it like you would a doctor’s appointment. As you get better at it, you will be able to meditate whenever the urge hits you.

2. Find a spot with no distractions.

Turn phones and stuff off. This sounds like a no brainer but if you go somewhere that you may be distracted, you won’t be able to relax. It could be your comfy chair, your bathtub, wherever. Just make sure it’s quiet and no one will disturb you. This is super important as you are just learning how to quiet your mind and be still.

3. Close your eyes or not.

If you choose to keep your eyes open, make sure there are no mental stimulants near by. No pictures of your late great Aunt Gertrude. Close the curtains if your outside scenery is a park with kids or a busy highway. Closing your eyes is i deal but not everyone is comfortable doing this. Try both ways and see what works best but you should try to do it more with your eyes closed.

4. Let your thoughts flow.

You are going to be flooded with the thoughts from the day or yesterday. All the good ones, the bad ones, your mind is going to be super busy. Let them flow. Don’t try to analyze them or go over that shit thing that happened. Just let them go. They will come in, see them, and then don’t give them any more thought. Put them in thought bubbles. Imagine bubbles that you place each thought in and let it float away. Watch it float away. Say goodbye to it if you have to.

5. Don’t tense up.

Sounds simple but really it takes practice. Pay attention to your body and your muscles. Each time you feel you are tensing up, relax. Remember all those thoughts that are going through your head are probably pretty stressful and you will naturally tense up. Calm down, breathe, take note and settle back into calmness. This takes plenty of practice but you will get it right eventually.

6. Imagine something beautiful.

Once you have released all your thoughts from the day, picture something beautiful to you. the ocean, some flowers, a meadow, the sky with pretty clouds, whatever that beauty is for you, put it in your line of vision. Keep going back to that vision if you feel yourself drifting away. Catch yourself and go back there. Embrace the sounds, the sights, the calmness. Feel it and imagine you are right there, right at that moment. And relax there.

The absolute hardest part of meditating is learning to relax enough to get it started. Once you master that, the meditation will flow. Remember to breathe in and out, calmly, and always be comfortable. You will soon discover that meditating is by far, one of the best things you can do for your emotional well being.

5 Powerful Ways I Can Will Change Your Life

How many times do you catch yourself saying I can’t before you’ve even given any thought to whether or not you can? For many of us, it’s just easier to say these two words and carry on with our day. What we don’t realize is that whatever it was that we just said we can’t to, we actually probably could do but we don’t even try first. Saying no or I can’t is instant. It just pops right out. No thought, no guessing, no questioning. I can’t.

Did you know, however, that saying I can has the power to totally change your life? It’s a scary thought. It makes us get out of our comfort zone. The place of coziness, com fort and eternal safety. How long do we really want to stay in that place for though? Many of us desperately want to do things, many things, we’re just too damned scared, so we say I can’t. Hopefully after you’ve read through this article, you will clear your mind of I can’t and turn it into I can.

I_canLet’s look at some of the powerful ways saying I can will completely change your life.

1. Personal satisfaction.

I love this. Take, for example, zip lining. For the longest time you’ve wanted to but you kept making up excuses why you couldn’t until one day you finally did. You finally stopped saying oh I can’t, grabbed your gear and away you went. Upon landing you felt the biggest surge of triumph. You did it. What a feeling. It’s a feeling that will leave you wanting more. The more things you finally say I can to, the more personal satisfaction you will experience. And besides, isn’t that what life is all about?

2. Broaden your horizons.

Who doesn’t want to do that? Learn more, explore more, do more, be more. When we start saying I can, we experience more of what life has to offer us. We don’t stay locked up in our house watching life pass us by. Say I can. Go live life and try new things.

3. Push the envelope.

Sometimes we say I can’t to things simply because we are scared of doing it or trying something new.  Many of us are just afraid of failure and the embarrassment that is attached to that. Let it go. You won’t f ail, you will have an adventure, at best, but there is no failing hence no embarrassment. Besides, who cares what others think? It’s your life, not theirs.

4. Pump up your power.

There is a tremendous surge of power that goes along with saying I can. Try it and you’ll see. For so long you’ve been saying I can’t and stayed in your cozy little shell but when you are finally ready to come out and say I can, the euphoria is off the charts. Such a victorious moment. You will suddenly feel unstoppable and believe that you are capable of doing and achieving anything. It’s great, really.

5. You are limitless.

Once you start saying I can, you will realize that there have been many things you’ve been saying I can’t to and you will certainly want to start saying I can to all those things. You will want to try things, do things, and feel internal personal power and satisfaction. You will even look for different things to do and try. The sky and your own thoughts are the only limits you have.

We know that this is the only life we have. We also know that staying in our comfort zone is just so easy. Life begins outside of that zone though. We know that too. Before you are quick to jump and say I can’t, give it a bit more thought and then try saying I can and watch how magically your life will unfold.

9 Ways To Feel Like A Millionaire Every Day

You don’t need a million bucks in the bank to feel like a millionaire.

Society tells you that living like a millionaire means fancy neighborhoods, nice cars and luxurious vacations.

But, like much of what society says, this is a lie.

You don’t need the material trappings of the world to feel like a millionaire.

happyI gave up a high-flying career, a six-figure job and fancy suits a few years ago so that I could live a more authentic life. Every day today feels abundant and wealthy. I’m telling you, it has nothing to do with money.

If you want to feel like a millionaire every day, do these 9 things daily.

1)   Be generous and grateful.

Spend a bit of the day being generous and giving. You don’t have to be wealthy to give. Giving is a practice you build up no matter what your station in life is. If you can’t give money, give your time. You don’t have to look very far to give. There are opportunities all around you, from volunteering to mentoring.

A similar way to feel abundant is to count your blessings daily. Think about all the small and big things you’re grateful for. Yes, everything from the internet and Wi-Fi to having transportation and a job. Be thankful for all those things you take for granted. With every blessing of gratitude, you’ll feel even more abundant.

2)   Follow your dreams.

Following your heart’s desires will help you feel abundant beyond measure. Most people never start on their dreams. Many others have buried their dreams for the sake of their professions or careers.

Acknowledge your dreams and figure out how to bring them alive. When you’re working on your dream, you will feel like you’re on top of the world. You don’t have to quit your job to pursue your dreams, either – that’s what the lunch hour and after-work hours are for.

3)   Do work you’re passionate about.

While you’re at your day job, do work that you enjoy and that is meaningful to you. If you’re not passionate about your day job, look for parts of the job you do enjoy and focus on them. If you hate your work and industry altogether, look to transition out. Take more classes outside of work, talk to mentors about other specialties and determine how you can do work that will help you jump out of bed in the morning.

4)   Spend time on your spiritual pursuits.

A little bit of focus on your spiritual or soulful nature each day will help you feel abundant. Create a few minutes a day to do something that connects with you spiritually. It may be a meditation, a prayer, an affirmation, reading a spiritual text or something as simple as a walk in nature. A quick visit to the temple or reading your favorite scripture may be all it takes for you to feel awake.

5)   Spend time with people you adore.

Get rid of toxic relationships and unhealthy friendships. You don’t have to remain friends with people for a lifetime. You have permission to end relationships and embrace those friendships that uplift you.

Spend time daily with people who make you laugh, who are there for you during tough times and whose company you genuinely enjoy. Schedule time with uplifting and kind friends throughout the week.

6)   Say “no” often.

Another quick way to feel abundant is to do only those things you enjoy and, again, with people you enjoy doing them with. If you say “no” often to things that don’t fit and activities that don’t align with your values, you’ll feel more joyful each day.

Say “no” to those things that don’t serve you so that you can enthusiastically say “yes” to those things that do. The more you say “no” to what doesn’t fit, the happier, freer and more exciting your days will be.

7)   Feel good and raise your vibrations.

You’ll feel like a millionaire when you’re in a state of ecstasy. And no, you don’t need to be turned on to feel fantastic. Use the power of visualization and changing your body language to feel good. Think about those things that make you feel good and shift your energy from negative to positive.

Have some favorite memories, people or positive life events in mind. Whenever your energy is down, reflect on those positive memories to boost your energy and your mood.

8)   Embrace your emotions.

Abundance means a healthy relationship with your emotions.

Instead of suppressing or repressing your emotions, speak out your emotions. Write them down or share them with a friend. Emotions are usually taboo. Men even see emotions as a weakness, but they are certainly not.

Emotions are the fabric of our day-to-day lives. They form the internal make-up of all of us and we can use them for good. Embrace your emotions, share them with people you trust and be willing to be vulnerable with them.

When you’re emotionally connected, you’ll feel fulfilled. You’ll want to connect with more people at an emotional level.

9)   Eat well and take care of your body.

Your body is your greatest wealth. Treat it well and you’ll be rewarded with good health and a long life.

Throw out the junk food and genetically modified food. Eat fresh vegetables and fruits. Drink water.

Get some daily exercise. Move your body instead of spending lazy days in front of the television. Small daily habits of movement, even a short walk, will help you build your stamina and energy for more active workouts.

Your millionaire life awaits. Put some of these actions into practice today and see how rich your life feels. When you’re feeling this abundant, who needs a million bucks?

Social Media, Generations, The Good The Bad And The Ugly

What a whirlwind this world is in right now. Our lives are changing swiftly. Often faster than we can keep up. Times are definitely a changing. Are we keeping up as we should be? That really depends on what generation you ask. We are taken over by cell phones, Notes, iPads, and other electronic devices that are sometimes even way beyond their time. Or are they? Maybe we are behind the times and having difficulty keeping up.

So many questions and so many answers. We all have our opinions about this one. Let’s break it down from era to era and see how each one feels about social media and technology today. Obviously these don’t apply to everyone but, at the very least, the vast majority.

social_media_generations1920’s- 40’s people.

People born in this era are baffled. You may see a few of them with a cell phone or some other mobile device only because their children have insisted they get one in order to keep in touch and share pictures. They have little clue as to how to actually use them and are constantly asking for help. The cell phone, to them, is more of a nuisance than a blessing or a gift. They could do without. It takes them forever to place a call and this causes more frustration then anything. Why their family would want to put them through this torture is beyond them. Who’s Blabbing?

1950’s people.

People born in this era kind of get it. The cell phone is definitely a great way to stay in touch with family who live far away. They get to see pictures of grand babies and new puppies. They have a bit of difficulty still figuring out some of the social media platforms such as Instagram and Stumble upon, but they are working their way around Facebook pretty easily and as long as they can see pictures, they’re pretty happy. Pinterest can be an excellent source for recipes for that great family feast coming up soon but don’t ask them to go tweet. That likely won’t happen. What does that button do anyway?

60’s people

They’re getting it, as fast as they can. But it’s so much information, so fast and rapidly changing. The 60’s people might even be thinking of retiring and getting in all kinds of information on how they can do that soon and maybe even learn a new skill to get some passive income going. They are loving the social media and technology. They are learning, rolling with it and with the help of social media, they are planning their next strategy which is, how do they quit their job now and still earn a decent living? They totally get this. Did I just hit the delete button by accident again?

70’s people

Why wasn’t all this invented earlier is all they want to know. Social media is their drug. They are loving all the platforms. They are pinning and tweeting and updating faster than you can blink an eye. They love the live platforms to keep in touch face to face with friends who have moved thousands of miles away. They can also keep an eye on their children and see what’s going on there. The 70’s people are definitely rolling with all this technology faster and better than most, but not better than the 80’s people. #battleoftheeras

80’s people

They got this. This is what they grew up with. That’s all they know. Technology, mobile devices, ram, gigs, notes, smartwatches, you name it, they’ve seen it come to life. They are the group that get that things need to be updated every 2-3 years. Social media and technology is their gig. You have questions, they have answers. The only downside to this is that because they have grown up with it and it’s all they know, they are also attached to their phones and are starting to lose the beaut y of human interaction. This is where it starts. We’ll still listen to the 80’s music we grew up on.

90’s onward

A TV without a remote control? Food warmed up on the stove? Going to the library to get information? Having to read a map, a paper map, to find directions? These are just a few of the things they will never know in their lifetime. They were born into technology. That’s their life. The situation with this group is that it is up to the parents to maintain normalcy in their life with human interaction. They won’t know it otherwise. They won’t get getting on your bike and riding two blocks over to see if your friend is home and if they want to go to the movies. What’s a shag rug?

Now clearly this doesn’t apply to absolutely everyone in that era but definitely more than 50%. Love it or hate it, social media is here and it isn’t going away anytime soon. Get used to it. Wrap your head around it. Learn what you can. You’ll be better off if you just learned.

9 Things To Tell Yourself When You Are Down

We all have bad days. Even happy people have bad days. No one is permanently happy 100% of the time without mind altering drugs. Some days we just feel low. Period. What hap pens during and after that low period is what makes or breaks you, depending on your self talk at the time. There are many things you can tell yourself when you are feeling down. We’ve listed 9.

I know sometimes when we are going through a low point or a down time, some of us want the earth to open up and swallow us whole. Some days are really bad. Plain and simple. But we can manage and get around them. Here’s how with just a few simple little life hacks and some things to remind yourself of.

societal_lies1. It’s ok to feel down sometimes.

Of course it’s ok. Many of us have down days. Go ahead and cry or scream if you have to. No one will judge you for that. Let your emotions free. Bottling them up will only hurt you. Lock yourself in a room and be alone for y our cryfest if you have to. Whatever you do, just do it. But don’t stay there. Remember you have to come out of it.

2. I’ve been here before.

And you got through just fine. This isn’t the first time and it won’t be the last. Remind yourself you have survived 100% of the tough times you’ve been through. You are doing great. Better than you think. Each storm is a different one but you’re strong enough to make it through all of them.

3. I can count on my friends.

Hopefully you have a good support networks o f really good friends and that may include only 1 or 2. That’s perfect. You don’t need 100 friends to help you with something. Call your friends to help you or just sit with you and keep you company. That’s what they are there for.

4. I’m strong enough to handle this.

You are. Don’t forget that. Whatever is happening to you at the moment, this time, you can handle it. Put your game face on and face this situation head on. many times we think something is huge and we won’t be able to get around it but once you start dealing with it you often discover it wasn’t so big after all.

5. I’m ok.

Yes, you are. you will be ok. If you aren’t ok now tomorrow, you will be. If not tomorrow, then the next day. It doesn’t matter what day it happens, keep reminding yourself you will be ok. Tell yourself this a lot. Repeat it over and over again. The more you tell yourself this, the more you will believe it and so will your brain.

6. My faith is bigger than my problems.

Keep your faith big. Make sure it is bigger than your problems or your bad day. The more faith you have and maintain, the smaller your problems will seem and the easier it will be to get through the rest of your down day. Pray if you have to, meditate or journal, whatever method you choose to stay in faith, remember #5. You’re going to be ok.

7. Everyone has bad days.

This might ease the anxiety a bit for you when you remind yourself you aren’t the only one going through this. We all do and it’s ok. Tell yourself that having a bad day isn’t the end of the world, we all have them and you aren’t any less of a person because you are having a bad down now. You’re human. It’s normal.

8. Why am I going through this?

Figure out what’s going on and what the trigger was for this. A lot of the times we can reduce the number of bad days we have simply by finding out what triggered it and see how to eliminate this trigger. If there was no apparent trigger, then it simply could be just a shitty day and that’s ok too.

9. Does something need to change?

If there really is a trigger, what is it? Could it be your job or a friendship or maybe even your partner that is causing you to have bad days, too many of them. Is there something in your life that isn’t making you happy? It might be time to take a closer look at life and see what’s wrong there.

Even though we all have bad days, it doesn’t mean we like to have them. They just happen, sometimes with no reason or rhyme. Embrace them, feel them and release them. Don’t stay stuck in your bad day and don’t let it linger into the next day. Tell yourself tomorrow will be better. And it will be.
