Last weekend I spontaneously decided to take a short timeout and visit again the Dolomites in Italy. This area is actually one of my favourite shooting spots, so I want to use any given opportunity to spend some days there. I highly recommend to put this place on your bucket list 🙂

Altghough predictions were not good I was very lucky with the weather. No storms, no showers, just perfect conditions. So, I’m pretty happy with the result and hope you like this shot too.

I usually plan my photo shoots before I hit the road. I know where I will be at what time. I hike or drive like crazy to get to where I want to be.
But, the most beautiful moments present themselves while I am in between locations. I missed so many great shots before because I had to drive to my main location and when I got there it was a total disappointment.

Landscape photography is about being in the moment wherever you go. Once you miss a moment it’s gone forever. If you see something interesting, shoot. Don’t be lazy. It’s never gonna be the same. Light, wind, clouds, even your mood will never be the same if you get back to the same location just a couple minutes later.
