Vestrahorn, Stokksnes Iceland by chrissnoek by chrissnoek

The beauty called Vestrahorn, near Stokksnes in Iceland. After visiting the place earlier on the day to check the best spots to photograph the mountain we drove back around sunset. There were a lot of clouds so there was almost no sun visible. Right before the sun went down it showed just enough to lighten up the sky and foreground to capture this shot.

Kosmic Cathedral by shanemcdermott by shanemcdermott

Although tempting, it is a challenge to create high quality starlight images of the red rock areas around Sedona due to the abundance of light pollution.

I captured this last Saturday evening in the minutes of waxing moon light and rising milky way.

Be sure to check out my upcoming “Inner Light Photo Tours” workshops here.

Chion-in in Kyoto by PAkDocK by PAkDocK

The Sanmon colossal main gate of the Chion-in temple, was built in 1619 and is the largest surviving structure of its kind in Japan. The original temple was built in 1234 by Hōnen’s disciple, Genchi.

It is a great visual impact, when you stand in front of the huge door. You are small, even a door is bigger.

Kyoto, Japan. 2015
