Yosemite by MarcPollard by MarcPollard

I debated this in B&W. But I do love the colors in the rock and trees against that sky. El Capitan is so impressive and I could probably take a 1,000 pictures of it and no two would look the same.

I love „Moravian Tuscany“. You can find there very tasty wines as well as a beautiful landscape.

Panorama compiled from total of 3 frames (3 frames in one row).

St. Mary Ascension Church by MaraRSirako by MaraRSirako

The legend is saying that on the night between 14th and 15th August in the far year 1512, the Mother Mary appeared to two vineyard watchmen. She begged them to relay a message to authorities regarding the renovation of the church, which was in very bad shape. In the following years the church was enlarged. In the year 1520 it was adorned with the painting “Apparition of St. Mary” by Francesco Valerio. Eventually the church became the most important pilgrimage centre of the entire Istria. ~Resilience is accepting your new reality, even if it’s less good than the one you had before. ~

A bonsai like tree somehow survives the harsh desert environment. It amazes me to see some trees and bushes literally growing on rocks, with minimal soil and water to survive.
Shot in a cold overcast late November, with a 24mm at f1.4, so the blur is straight out of the camera. Only if I could afford that lens… thanks for stopping by!

Godafoss by chrissnoek by chrissnoek

Goðafoss is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland. It is located in the Mývatn district of North-Central Iceland at the beginning (or end) of the Sprengisandur route that cuts through the country. The water of the river Skjalfandafljot falls over a width of 30 meters 12 meters, and Goðafoss divides it by rocks in a few pieces. A few kilometers upstream is the Aldeyjarfoss.

With a great idea of my friend we visited this waterfall in the evening. The road was closed down by Jeeps, but we were the last ones getting a glimp of the waterfall before the roads closed till the other day. Happily I got this shot before we moved to the next hotel!

For this shot we moved to the other side of the waterfall to get a greater angle. With the use of my LEE Little stopper i managed to smoothen out the water with a shutter speed of 15 second. Editing exclusively in Lightroom.
