Over Memorial Day weekend Emily and I backpacked to this place to avoid the crowds. We couldn’t have asked for better condition. Good sunset, a little lightning, clear and calm for Milky Way and then a colorful sunrise. This was taken just after moonrise so the Milky Way is a little less vibrant but it was worth the trade off to me to have better details on the ground.

Zabriski Point, Death Valley, is more famous for the view which one sees when turning to the right of this view, but I was impressed by the stark beauty of this view, with the impressive thunderhead clouds looming over the mountains and eroded sandstone formations. I hope you enjoy it….

I cant believe I’m saying this but I almost feel bad for posting another image from Patagonia so if it offends anyone I’m truly sorry for this. You could call it an obsession, a love affair, but I’m not finished with this place to the point where I going back in a few weeks to capture more images in the middle of winter. So if my images really upset you, then you might want to hibernate, turn of the computer or maybe just embrace the beauty of this incredible place. Anyway I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend and for the people that appreciate my work please enjoy.
