What a Morning by tom_blumer by tom_blumer

Beautiful morning sky in Santa Barbara. Winter skies are more colorful and less foggy than in summer. Well, we here in Santa Barbara get very picky with our weather, really no reason to complain at all 🙂

Hopfen.. by munal43 by munal43

seljalandsfoss by frank_delargy by frank_delargy

Wish I could say I planned this shot but it just happened to be a clear day and it just happened to be when I was driving past Seljalandsfoss on my way to VIK. I’ll take any good fortune that comes on a photo trip when you have too many things to see and places to go in too few days time. Seljalandsfoss in Iceland. Closer crop than previous upload.

Torres Del Paine by myspacetom by myspacetom

**NOTE** If you happen to be on the Android mobile app and made it this far, please go take a look at this image on the website. The Android colors are all wrong. It looks OK on the iPad, hopefully on the iPhone too? I just learned (through this experience) that if you don’t convert your final image from ProPhoto to SRGB, you may end up ruining the colors in the image on browsers/apps that don’t like ProPhoto **End of NOOB info**

Original Post;

I visited Torres del Paine for the first time this May. Such a spectacular place! We explored first on our own, and then later as part of a tour with Marc Adamus. This mountain range sits in front of a glacial lake so I was very tempted to shoot the “whole scene.” I’m virtually certain I would never have zoomed up and captured this photo, if it were not for Marc Adamus telling us all “long lens, long lens” for the two weeks we were together! I’m grateful, Marc! (Btw, my back is not grateful now that I feel compelled to carry an 80-400mm lens around all the time! ) Lastly, I’m eager to see the shots of classmates and now friends who also witnessed this along side me 🙂 !
