Gratitude by PerriSchelat by PerriSchelat

As photographers, specifically landscape photographers, we spend a great deal of time alone and a lot of time staring into scenes that are stunningly beautiful.

It’s during these moments, when I find myself thinking deeply about a lot of things. Some thoughts are deeper than others, I will admit :). Maybe I’m thinking about the day I’ve had, tomorrows shoot, a loved one, or the many blessings in my life.

For many, these times are really spent in reflection and introspection. A time to say, thanks, or a promise to do better, or whatever we work on as individuals to become better humans…..On this evening I felt such overwhelming gratitude and really embraced those things in my life, good things and challenging things.

I really think it’s these quiet moments we spend, where we really ground ourselves and remind ourselves to show gratitude and give thanks for all the wonderful people, opportunities and experiences in our lives.

This day was a great day and I was thankful.

Dubrovnik by AdnanBubalo by AdnanBubalo

Dubrovnik also known by other names is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea, in the region of Dalmatia. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Sea, a seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Its total population is 42,615. In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The prosperity of the city was historically based on maritime trade; as the capital of the maritime Republic of Ragusa, it achieved a high level of development, particularly during the 15th and 16th centuries, as it became notable for its wealth and skilled diplomacy.
