​The icebergs of Disko Bay come in all sorts of amazing shapes and forms. This one looked to me like fish bones 🙂 The image was shot during a 3am Arctic sunrise – a spectacle like no other! In less than 3 months I’ll be out in Greenland, guiding my ‘Tales of Arctic Nights‘ summer workshop in Disko Bay. A shot Taken in Tuscany at sunrise, after a rainy night. The dramatic sky was opening for few minutes and the light was touching the hills. an almost spiritual scene, like someone wanted to send a message from up there…

We got sooooo lucky this past week when we made our only trip to Kirkjufellfoss and had the sky do this! This is one of the most heavily shot spots in all of Iceland, and an ordinary sunset just wouldn’t have made it into my portfolio, but I was grinning from ear to ear when the sky blew up, and last forever. This was my favorite composition that included the Foss “waterfall” as well as the butte. I 6 shot, hdr pano duel processed.
