Hidden Gem by AdamGibbs by AdamGibbs

What a great unexpected find.

The van that I drive on my trips is an old 1995 Mitsubishi Delica . The vehicle is a Japanese import and as such is a right hand drive. Driving a right hand van in Canada does have some positive advantages like parallel parking and checking things out the side window for potential photos. Passing other cars is a bit of a problem but in all honesty I drive like a granny so passing is not a common occurrence for me. Driving down the Island highway minding my own business I caught a glimpse of the waterfall in this image down a side gully to my right. If I had been in a left hand drive car I probably wouldn’t have noticed it. I figured I would go exploring and was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem. I ended up spending a couple of hours checking the area out an d making a number of compositions.

~All in all it’s just another brick in the wall~ by DaniloFaria by DaniloFaria

Delicate Arch, arguably the main attraction of Arches National Park is viewed from a side angle across the canyon. From this angle you can see how massive the “wall” of sandstone which serve as a base to the arch. Most people photograph Delicate Arch close by, so I decided to “step away” and see the whole surrounding. There are a few people to the left and right of it, but they become so small comparing to the sheer size of the arch formation (65-ft/20 m tall freestanding). Behind it, a summer storm is moving in… Thank you all for your support and feedback!

Evening Snow by florisvb by florisvb

Tiny white flowers — Evening Snow (Linanthus dichotomus) — open up at twilight, like little stars. Meanwhile, the nearly full moon rises in the east, illuminating the looming Sierra Nevada seen from the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine, CA.
