A magic moment in Torres del Paine. I was expecting the sun to rise and show its colours soon but I didn’t expect THAT MUCH craziness. It was a fleeting moment (about 2-3min) but what a moment!

There is a brief window of time, maybe a week or two…sometimes a few days depending on conditions, when the wildflowers of Table Mountain are at their peak. I had gone up there a few times the week I got this shot and knew that this particular afternoon was going to be special. Nice lighting, lots of clouds and a distant thunder storm made this a memorable outing for me and my family.

The Matterhorn is a mountain of the Alps, straddling the main watershed and border between Switzerland and Italy. It is a huge and near-symmetrical pyramidal peak in the Monte Rosa area of the Pennine Alps, whose summit is 4,478 metres (14,692 ft) high, making it one of the highest summits in the Alps and Europe.
It is estimated that over 500 alpinists have died on the Matterhorn since the first climb in 1865, making it one of the deadliest peaks in the world
