Kvalvika Beach is surrounded by mountains and can only be accessed by boat or hiking. After hiking over the mountain pass I arrived at the beach, just in time to catch the sun setting past the edge of the mountains. Due to how far north the Lofoten Islands are and the length of the winter days, the sun was casting it’s warm light on the beach for the first time this year.
