The road to Mt Fitz Roy is one of the greatest driving roads in the world. Located in the riverside of Rio de las Vueltas, within the Los Glaciares National Park, 220 km north of El Calafate and one of the best cities in the world to know. Thanks to the newly paved road heading to El Chalten, you can take as long as you like, enjoying views of Cerro Torre and Mt Fitz Roy.

The road is one serious adrenaline-pumping journey if you’re a landscape photographer with over an hour of spine tingling views. The road leads to a series of relatively new sharp jagged mountainous peaks that still haven’t undergone weathering and erosion.

The fire at dawn, and the morning’s glory cresting the mountain peaks with a golden halo, bathing you with warmth in anticipation of the days hiking to come.
