Hi everybody, how is it going? Today I want to share with you another image from my Iceland trip. I loved the feeling of drama, wilderness and mystery created by the scattered light interacting with these beautiful peaks, so I tried to capture it. I hope you can feel it and enjoy the image!

Even though it can be extremely windy on the coast during some days, mainly during winter and spring months, I had been lucky so far this year that they were head winds or side winds during my morning shoots. Unfortunately on this day the wind was to my back. I really wanted to get closer to the edge, so that I could tilt the camera down to get more of the waves against the rocks below. As I was finding it too difficult to stop myself from being blown forward and I had to shield the camera for this long exposure shot, this was as comfortable as I felt getting to the edge. This is a shot of Thatcher Rock (on the right) just off the Torbay coast.

Castelluccio di Norcia !
Eccomi finalmente, anche io, in questo fantastico posto.
Piccolo angolo del pianeta a 1452 metri di altitudine, dove ogni scorcio che osservi vedi una foto!
Castelluccio, immerso nel Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini circondato dalla sua immensa distesa di campi che ben presto fiorirà sprigionando nell’aria 1000 profumi e regalando agli occhi 1000 colori, alle spalle il maestoso Monte Vettore che , quasi a voler proteggere il piccolo paesino, regala effetti spettacolari al tramonto tingendosi di rosso !

Non potevo non inaugurare la mia permanenza in questo fantastico posto con uno scatto all’alba.

Ore 5:00 raggiungo una posizione appena più alta rispetto al paesino, la stradina sterrata che conduce al Monte Valletta è perfetta e una volta posizionata l’attrezzatura aspetto il gran momento, l’istante in cui i primissimi raggi di sole sbuchino dalle spalle del Monte Vettore e illuminino quei bei fiori in primo piano !
Le nuvole, fortuna che c’erano, hanno aggiunto un tocco di morbidezza allo scatto e regalato un atmosfera molto particolare, assumendo pian piano un colore caldo grazie proprio a quei primi raggi di sole.
