Photopills indicated that the sun would set behind that rock in “Pomos” (a one and half hour drive from my home ) and I was there to shoot it. My heart sunk when I saw that the clouds , that were hanging above the area there in the afternoon , disappeared at sunset. I had no other option so I stayed there and hoped for the best. Nikon D800 with Nikon 16.0-35.0 mm f/4.0 , 10 stop ND + 3 stop soft grad ND. Exposure 30,0 sec; f/9; ISO 100 .A single NEF file imported into Light-Room for a straightforward processing. ——————–For the technically minded The Contrast was reduced in PS as following ….. (Ctrl + Alt+ Shift +E) To merge all layers , Ctrl +J to duplicate it , (Alt + Shift + Ctrl + B) To turn the top layer into Black and white , (Ctrl + I) to reverse it , blending mode to Overlay , and adjust the opacity for the effect you are after…usually 5 to 10 percent , I found that in this way you can easily and not destructively control the overall contrast of the image. Starlight Terhi

Single exposure under almost perfectly still conditions. Terhi the boat is only anchored,not on any ramps.
The light pollution is both emanating from the bridge & Copenhagen airport. The cloud accentuated that. Will try again under the needed still conditions, but perhaps early Autumn, daylight is still evident even after 12pm & will be even more so in 4 weeks.

Here’s a 100mm shot from Metlako Falls. Spring definitely makes this place come alive and well green… very green. I guess that’s why I decided to go monochrome with this one. Nothing too crazy here but it was fun to put together.
