Last year in July, I was able to capture this field near my home village. Fortunately, the farmer did not remove the bales of straw at the same day, so that I could take this photo at sunset. Luckily, also the weather played along.

An orographic cloud caps Mount Warrawolong as some pink predawn light fills the sky. At 641 metres (2,103 ft) above sea level, Warrawolong is the highest peak in the Watagans. The Watagan Mountains are a wilderness area that forms part of the Great Dividing Range, located in the Hunter region of New South Wales, Australia.

Shot this photo on my trip to Italy in February. After a long hike in the morning, we decided to reach this peak for sunset. At -18°C and strong winds, any engagement has been rewarded with this spectacular view for a few minutes. We packed our stuff then and started the hike down to the valley again through the night.
