Okay, maybe not that kind of poolside view, but it suits me just fine. This is the beautiful scene that greeted us this morning at Wolchul Mountain in South Korea. The pool in the front is one of 9 or so such rain carved pools at the top of this peak.

Vareid is one of the most popular seascape spots in Lofoten. And for good reason. Its a fantastic spot to shoot dramatic seascapes against a jagged backdrop of some of the finest peaks in Lofoten.

I have shot it countless times over the years, but never have i seen conditions and light like this. This is the culmination of maybe 30 visits, and to me a very important aspect of landscape photography.
Everyone was running like crazy around the place, trying to find a good composition before the light was gone. I ended up with my all time favourite shot from this place.

I dont think i ever will bring my camera there again.

I’ve decided to go back to some of my older images and reprocess them, so I’ll be uploading some on 500 as I go. I’d rather not have to cringe every time I look at such images. This one is an image of a little cove in China Beach, SF—one of my favorite spots in the city.

Early summer morning `i walked our dog behind the campsite in Mander, Twente, The Netherlands. This road was formerly used by famers, big trees at both sides, mist and beatiful light came through the branches.
