This leopard was sitting pretty atop the tree and was gazing intently at some prey in the distance. Knowing that it was likely to descend I decided to not shoot the image with my 500mm and opted to shoot with my 70-200mm instead. This image was captured when it descended the trunk.

Recently returned from a winter trip to Yellowstone NP where we got to photograph a variety of wildlife, in a variety of weather conditions as well. We were treated to numerous red fox encounters. I fell in love with fox many years ago, so it’s always special when our paths cross. Just love their “air” about them as they make their way past us on its way as they hunt.
