There has been an older version of this shot up here on 500px with some issues that have bothered me. So here is that one I like most

I took this on one of my most favorite locations ever… The French Alps.

About the shot… it’s a blend of about 3 shots. One before twilight to show you some stars. And the other one’s some minutes later…

After a nearly 7 hours drive from Sioux Falls. Well over 300 miles of nothing but South Dakota Interstate, we arrived at the Big Badlands Overlook just in time to catch the last bit of sunlight on the peaks. Followed by a long night of astro-landscape photography. Of course than followed by the dreaded drive back home.
