I spent 7 full days chasing the light around the country of Iceland. By the end of my trip, I travelled the equivalent of Florida to Idaho, a staggering number of miles driven and locations covered.

One of the most memorable mornings was when the sun rose on this black sand beach on the Southeastern coast. The lenticular cloud formations coupled with the translucent ice make for a jaw-dropping display of nature.

Whilst cycling around in the evening enjoying the sunset, cameacross this little bridge, looked nice in the sunset. The calm settled in again after the crowded passing of the Giro d”Italia, a hundred meters from this bridge earlier that day.

Carpet thick moss of the beaten path hides many landscape opportunities for photopgrahy and more intimate scenes, where there is nothing more to be heard except fast and cold glacier creeks tumbling and rumbling down the mountain.

Gorgeous sunrise at my happy place on Lofoten islands in Norway
I gave it this title, because for me the situation combines what i see as the essence of Lofoten: Mountains, water and exciting light 🙂
3 years ago i already captured this favourite view of mine with some gorgeous light and this title came to my mind while shooting. But at that time i was lacking a foreground- i simply didn´t care about it that much back in the days and at the same time there was no snow after a week of rain. So i basically have been waiting for the conditions to align to capture this image for quite some time now- even happier i was to finally be abled to bring this home.
